With the BER months only a week away, I took the opportunity to apple pick early on and start on one of my favorite recipes for fall, homemade applesauce in the crockpot. What I love most about this is that takes simple ingredients, you can easily tailor it to how much you want to make, and it can be used in so many different ways.
My two toddlers love to eat this as a side with dinner (pairs perfectly with pork chops and is a great dish to bring to Thanksgiving). It can also be used in other baking recipes that call for applesauce and this just takes the recipe up a notch instead of using store bought applesauce.
