Fun Fall Activities for Toddlers and Kids

  1. Pumpkin Car Wash. Decorate pumpkins with washable paint or markers and then set up a mini car wash station using soapy water and sponges. There your toddler can “wash” the pumpkins clean and start over again. This is perfect for a warmer fall day!
  2. Nature Walk and Scavenger Hunt. Go on a nature walk and collect different types of leaves, pinecones, flowers, and small sticks. This can be in your backyard or a local walking trail. Create a simple scavenger hunt by giving them a list of things to find.
  3. Pumpkin Bowling. Create a mini bowling alley using small pumpkins as the bowling balls and paper towel rolls or empty plastic bottles as pins. Let your toddler have fun knocking them over. You can even paint them to look like bowling balls for an added craft element!
  4. Outdoor Story and Snack Time. Set up a cozy fall themed picnic or fort. Bring your toddlers favorite autumnal snack (or even make some of my delicious and very easy crockpot apple sauce) and enjoy a fall themed story and snack with the crisp autumn air. You can even bring your stuffies to join in on the fun!
  5. Scavenger Hunt Sensory Bin. Create sensory bins with all of the items you found on your scavenger hunt! You can also use dry corn, beans, and kinetic sand for the base.
